There have been so many dresses in the news this week. First there was Lupita Nyong’o’s stolen Oscar gown, then there was the now infamous black and blue dress (scientifically proven black and blue), and last night on The Women Tell All episode of The Bachelor, there was my “that’s not a very virginal choice” plunge dress.
Can people please stop with the “virgins don’t dress like that” crap?! What exactly are virgins supposed to wear? A Jamie Sullivan sweater? I believe you can be sexy without having sex. Talk to Adriana Lima about being a tease. The hottest Victoria Secret angel in history was a virgin until 27. Talk about a tease! And speaking of teasing, who says we can’t/shouldn’t tease?! There should be more blue balls out there and less guys “expecting it.” *Ok, rant complete*
So back to dresses…The champagne Salima dress I wore is from HouseofCB. I finally got to “do my Kardashian look.” This online store is a gold mine for any fellow Kardashian style admirers. I shamelessly love sexy, form fitting dresses and skirts. I wish I had more occasions to wear House of CB dresses. I love sweats and no makeup and then I love being totally done up. I’d like to eliminate the jeans and a cute top in-between.
I was wearing Mac’s Fleshpot on my lips. The shade is part of Mac’s Satin collection. You may remember my grandma told me to wear a nude and I’m glad I took her advice. This lipstick looks best on a beautiful smile and a composed ladylike face.
At our Women Tell All afterparty, I wore a black crop from my favorite Necessary Clothing and a $15 Forever21 nude skirt. I wonder who inspired this ensemble.
As a true pisces, I live in a magical and delusional land in my head. In this world romances unfold the way they do in romantic comedies, everything at Sephora is free, Shake Shake burgers are a diet food, and we have the capability to clone Harry Styles.
In real life (what's that?), I spend my days pondering how Kylie Jenner's face changed so much. I'm a beauty junkie and pop culture-loving wedding videographer and freelance journalist. I have a Princess Jasmine complex. I am a Fanson (die hard Hanson fan). I enjoy belting old Celine Dion songs.
Please take everything I say seriously (I have my Masters in journalism from Syracuse University), but not too seriously (Cosmo is my favorite publication.)
